Mesa Maré

Nestled in a clearing just steps away from the sea, Mesa Maré restaurant occupies what used to be a simple shack used by fishermen when staying over. Carefully restored and renewed with the addition of more modern touches but keeping the traditional wood burning stove, the restaurant is surrounded by fruit trees and a garden that, along with daily arrivals from UXUA Roça organic farm, supply chef Renata Buim's creations.

There is no menu, whatever is fresh on the day is used in innovative, light and colorful dishes that perfectly compliment a day spent within nature.

“Here, it really is farm to table. Indigenous berries, homemade yoghurt, honey from their hives, blackberry kombucha, a tart cherry-like grumixama jam.”
