CASA HISTORY

A farmhouse in Brazil's countryside decided to exchange its antique wooden windows and door frames for aluminum ones and we struck gold. Casa Branca was born as Wilbert Das' reimagining of a farm Main House, with the goal of using all 13 windows and 11 doors.

Simultaneously imponent and welcoming the casa's main feature is its high-ceilinged and central social kitchen that opens up to a big wooden porch with a solid wood vintage dining table and plenty of sitting room on a massive couch overlooking the garden and pool.

The rooms on each side are mirrowed, with 2 spacious suites to the left and an extra suite plus living room with hand-sculpted burnt cement fireplace to the right.

DESIGN

The centerpieces of the open kitchen/dining room and of the family room are imponent chandeliers made of bamboo and ceramic respectively, designed and built by UXUA D.A.S. Atelier with materials from Trancoso.

The bathrooms are lined in colorful mosaics of handmade hidraulic tiles ...
