Casa Azul and Casa Amarela were previously abandoned farmhouses transplanted from Minas Gerais state and rebuilt here with their entire original wooden structure, windows and doors but reinterpreted with larger open spaces and contemporary touches from designer Wilbert Das. Casa Branca’s wooden structure, windows and doors were also transported here to create a large fazenda-style home, accented by the biggest veranda of all the UXUA casas.
Each Maré casa has its own private beach pergola right at the sand, serviced by a wooden beach bar carved from a fallen pequi tree that serves tropical drinks and snacks. All beach structures are nestled within preserved native vegetation which provides natural shade and refreshingly cooler temperatures than the beach just steps away. Also under the trees an open air gym offers free weights and calisthenics equipment.
